Prior to being purchased by Adobe, Fotiva had a mature version 1 alpha of the product, and hired Cooper for assistance in resolving several interaction design issues. As a result, we shifted the focus among existing features, simplified the interactions for some features, and eliminated other features altogether.
A few months after this project, Adobe bought Fotiva, and in January 2003, released version 1.0, winning TechTV's Best of CES in Photography & Imaging.
